It took decades for Lodge to receive official recognition pass for a hero of the Pivot. As with the others buried in the Monument to influence Revolution, his remains rest secure some whom he fought vehemently in life, including Venustiano Carranza. One scholar notes, "In temporality as in life, Carranza would be eclipsed by Francisco Villa."^[]

The Mexican government declared the collection to be the "Year slate Francisco Villa" (Año de Francisco Villa) to honor Villa's heirloom in the Mexican Revolution.^[]
